Call for Affiliated and Co-located Events
For the first time, RWC is inviting proposals for affiliated events. Just like for previous editions for RWC, we also invite proposals for co-located events. In the following we describe the differences and explain how to submit proposals.
Call for Affiliated Events
For affiliated events, the IACR is taking care of
- registrations through the IACR registration system for RWC;
- all services relating to registration (e.g., nametags, registration desk, etc.);
- providing a conference room equipped with a projector and suitable audio setup;
- Internet access; and
- coffee breaks and lunches.
Information for Submitters
All affiliated events will be held on the campus of Academia Sinica and take place before RWC, on March 7–8.
Organizers of affiliated events are in charge of all aspects of the scientific program.
Registration fees go to the IACR to cover expenses for the venue, meals, and local organization. Any additional expenses (for example for invited speakers or printing proceedings) need to be covered by the event organizers from other sources, for example, sponsorship.
Participants registered for affiliated events on a particular day can attend any affiliated event on that day (and even move between events if they like).
The organizers of the accepted affiliated events are expected to maintain an updated website (which will be linked from the RWC 2026 website), containing all relevant information for participants.
Submission Format for Affiliated Event Proposals
Please send proposals for affiliated events by e-mail to the Workshop Chair <rwc2026workshops@iacr.org>
by November 1, 2025 using the subject line RWC 2026 affiliated event proposal.
In the proposal please indicate the following:
- Name (and possible acronym) of the event
- Names and contact information of the organizers
- Length of event (1-2 days); if 1 day, indicate flexibility for dates
- A proposed format (workshop with submitted/invited talks, tutorial, panel, etc.) and potential speakers (if applicable, not complete, and no commitment)
- Abstract summarizing the proposed event and its justification
- In the case of a submission process:
- Potential committee members
- A draft of the relevant call (including expected dates such as submission deadline, notification, etc.)
- Estimated number of attendees total and an expected number of student attendees
- List of specific potential attendees (not complete, and no commitment); this will help coordinate timing of events that might overlap in audience
- A one-paragraph biographical sketch for each organizer, describing relevant qualifications, including research and conference/workshop organizing experience
- Funding sources that may be used (and for what purposes)
- Information of previous similar events (incl. organizational information such as attendance number), if applicable
- Link to draft website (if exists)
Evaluation Criteria and Notification
Given the limited amount of conference rooms available, events will be selected based on their novelty, importance, and interest that they are expected to have in the RWC community. The agreement of leading members of the community to engage with the event (for example, as speakers or committee members) will be taken into account.
The decision about acceptance as RWC 2026 affiliated event will be made by November 15.
Call for Co-located Events
Other than for affiliated events, each co-located event is responsible for organizing their own
- conference room with a projector;
- coffee breaks;
- Internet access;
- registration fees/web registration; and
- registration services (registration desk, nametags, etc.)
The RWC organizers will however provide web publicity for your event and promote it to the RWC attendees.
Information for Submitters
Co-located events should be scheduled right before or right after RWC and should ideally be held in or close to Taipei. The dates of co-located events must not overlap with the dates of RWC.
The proposal submitters need to identify a topic and decide on the format, and upon acceptance coordinate the program/speakers.
All costs (for example, costs of the program, reimbursements to invited speakers, room bookings, internet, teas/coffees, or printing proceedings) fall into the responsibility of the individual organizers of co-located events.
The organizers of the accepted co-located events are expected to maintain an updated website (which will be linked from the RWC 2026 website), containing all relevant information for participants.
Submission Format for Co-Located Event Proposals
