Visa and COVID Information

For those who are planning to attend the RWC conference in person in Amsterdam, please note that since March 23, essentially all COVID restrictions in the Netherlands have been lifted; for details see this update by the Dutch government This means that even for indoor events with more than 500 participants like RWC, there are no checks for vaccination or checks for a recent test at the entrance and there are no requirements to wear masks during the event. There is also no mask requirement in any other public spaces including most public transportation. Nonetheless, we all still need to take common-sense precaution measures.

Importantly, we ask that you do not enter the event if you feel unwell, have any COVID-19 symptoms, or test positive. In addition, despite the more relaxed situation in the Netherlands, we have guests from many countries with different COVID norms, so we recommend and encourage all in-person participants of RWC 2022 to

We will have a limited supply of masks and self-tests available at the reception desk, but we generally recommend to bring well fitting masks yourself. The RWC venue has Information about their ventilation system available online. Antigen self tests are available in the Netherlands in supermarkets for less than 5 EUR.

Should you experience COVID-19 symptoms or have a positive self test, you can get a PCR test for free at multiple locations in Amsterdam. The closest location for payed PCR tests, which may be required for some participants before travelling back, is the test center at Park Plaza Victoria.

Due to the pandemic, immigration rules and visa requirements for the Netherlands change frequently. For up-to-date information about visa requirements, please see the website of the Dutch government about short-stay (90 days or less) Schengen visa.
