For those who are planning to attend the RWC conference in person in Tokyo, we request you to take all common-sense precaution measures. While Japanese government recently relaxed their official mask recommendations, there still remains a strong social attitude within Japan to wear masks in public area and to refrain from talking in a loud voice.
Importantly, we ask that you do not enter the event if you feel unwell, have any COVID-19 symptoms, or test positive. We have guests from many countries with different COVID norms, so we recommend and encourage all in-person participants of RWC 2023 to
We will have a limited supply of masks and self-tests available at the reception desk, but we generally recommend to bring well fitting masks yourself.
Should you experience COVID-19 symptoms or have a positive self test, you need to call the Tokyo Fever Consultation Center (if you are in Tokyo). You may be directed to take a PCR test at a clinic or at a hospital. For other cities, please consult instructions here and here.

If you need an invitation letter to apply for a visa, please visit the website of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and pick an appropriate invitation letter format according to your nationality. Fill in your personal data and send the file to the general chair. Note that we send invitation letters only if you are registered for the event and have paid the registration fee (if not waived).
